I think it might be an American invention, I found it online as "Finska kakor" (in Swedish), but all the recipes are with American measurements. It also includes almond flavoring, which I don't find used much in Finnish recipes. I cannot find it in my Finnish baking books. <br /><br />Maybe some of my Finnish readers know of these cookies?
